Technically, this is my second visit to Vilvoorde but this is the first time I've had chance to have a good walk around and take in the local atmosphere, unfortunately for me it's a bank holiday here in Belgium so there really wasn't much happening. Even so, just walking among the beautiful architecture from the church and horse in the main square to gorgeous little town houses being highlighted by this amazing weather i got a real calming feeling even though i was kicking myself I didn't pack any shorts. Vilvoorde is well known for horse meat so looking forward to trying that.. watch this space.
Farnborough Airshow
Farnborough is home of the world's greatest airshow attracting the UK's best aircraft and display teams. By far my favourite part of the day was hearing and feeling the roar from the military jets including the F-35B and seeing the iconic red, white and blue vapour trails from the Red Arrows.
2016 American Car Show
I've always had a love for American muscle cars, mainly the Shelby GT500 Eleanor. During a business trip to the USA, I found myself in a position where I could actually choose a muscle car to drive! A red Ford Mustang convertible or a white Chevrolet Camaro SS. After some time I finally opted for the Camaro a 6.2LTR V8 packing 455 galloping ponies (horse power) under its hood, and boy did that thing shift! So this year i decided i would go along and see what American muscle the UK had to offer, and to my surprise the selection of cars was quite impressive.
